The Christmas Gift Report

I find it rather fitting that on the first day of a New Year I finished the last Christmas knitting from last year. Much to my surprise everyone got their gifts, there were a couple I left out, but no one was left with "well, you'll get it when I finish it." Maybe this will be my focus for the year? Finishing things? Yeah, probably not.

Christmas gifts spanned more than just knitting and we stayed away from baking as well. So here are a few pictures, the ones I remembered to take, of gifts. Everyone has received them now, so I won't be ruining anyone's surprise.

Silk Ribbon Embroidered Pillow Cases, pattern via PurlBee.com and ribbon from Dyeabolical.

These went to my aunts and uncles.

Socks for Marley, one skein of Paton's Kroy, #3 needles, personal pattern.

Nancy Marchant's basic brioche scarf pattern, for my cousin Charlie.

Yarn was Cascade 220.

All Bobbled Up Cowl, yarn is Nashua Julia and was for my cousin Madeliene.

The Edie Cowl with Cascade Cash Vero dk for my cousin Anna.

Sewn and embroidered cotton handkerchiefs for my Gaffer. Inspired by Purlbee.com, but a much simpler version. Time was waning.

These are my favorite. Silk ribbon embroidered sachets for my Gram with silk dupioni fabric.

The fabric and ribbon were gifted to me by a very talented woman, and I am smitten with it.

A hat for Robin, that started out for Marley. The pattern is We Call Them Pirates, but I don't know the yarn.

Other gifts included:

-wool helmet liner for Declan

-socks for Dad

-blanket for my Mom and Step Dad made from upcycled wool sweaters

-Dino hat and mitt set, plus a scarf for Abe. I will have to show this one off at some point.

-Wool slippers for my cousin Sam

-little tins of body butter for various people

-jars of vanilla citrus sugar scrub for various people

And what am I working on tonight? A shawl for myself :)
